WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Upcycled clothing requires special care because it’s made from recycled materials like vintage fabrics and upholstery materials–all of which are easily damaged by excessive handling or harsh cleaning products.
Handcrafted goods should always be washed separately from other clothing so as not to cause fading or damage from mixing colors or whites together in the wash cycle.
All handmade items are highly recommended to be inside out, on a delicate cycle with cold water. If possible, we suggest hand washing even more. Allow clothes to hang or lay flat to dry! For certain designs, a delicate tumble dry may be acceptable. Please contact us if you are skeptical about washing instructions.
Soft linen fabric may naturally show areas of fraying after multiple washes due to its delicate fibers. This is a normal characteristic of linen and adds to its organic texture. You can easily tidy up any loose or fraying threads by gently trimming them with scissors. To release wrinkles, which are also common with linen, a steamer works best. Simply run the steamer over the fabric in smooth motions, allowing the steam to relax the fibers and smooth out any creases. For best results, avoid ironing directly, as the heat can damage the fibers over time.
